Located in the southern part of Northeast China, Liaoning is to the north of the Bahai Sea, and Yellow Sea and to the northwest of Korean Peninsula and is one of the leading provinceliaonings in economic development and in the country’s opening-up. It is rich in mineral resources. Its reserves in petroleum and natural gas account for 15 percent and 10 percent respectively, of China’s total.
Liaoning boasts rich tourism resources. It has 180 cultural relics above the provincial level. Besides, it owns 40 forest parks, 10 natural reserves and four holiday zones. Dalain International Garment Festival and Shenyang Ice and Snow tourism Festival have become well known both at home and abroad. After going through many years of construction and development, Liaoning provinceliaoning has emerged with four large tourist areas, including the capital city of Shenyang, the coastal city of Dalian, as well as Dandong and Jinzhou.
