Liaoning

Located in the southern part of Northeast China, Liaoning is to the north of the Bahai Sea, and Yellow Sea and to the northwest of Korean Peninsula and is one of the leading provinceliaonings in economic development and in the country’s opening-up. It is rich in mineral resources. Its reserves in petroleum and natural gas account for 15 percent and 10 percent respectively, of China’s total.
Liaoning boasts rich tourism resources. It has 180 cultural relics above the provincial level. Besides, it owns 40 forest parks, 10 natural reserves and four holiday zones. Dalain International Garment Festival and Shenyang Ice and Snow tourism Festival have become well known both at home and abroad. After going through many years of construction and development, Liaoning provinceliaoning has emerged with four large tourist areas, including the capital city of Shenyang, the coastal city of Dalian, as well as Dandong and Jinzhou.

Shenyang Imperial Palace

Shenyang Imperial Palace, the only integrated royal architectural complex in China besides the Forbidden City in Beijing, is displaying royal life-the so-called “Parade of Royal Protocols”-to tourists. Built in 1625 and covering an area 67,000 square meters, the Shenyang Imperial Palace was the palace used by the Nurhachi (1592-1643). In 1644, the Qing ruler Shunzhi built the Qing capital in Beijing and Shenyang was named the “accompanying capital”.

Dalian

Dalian is located in the southern tip of Liaodong Peninsular and the terminal of Shenda (Shenyang-Dalian) Railway. Its main industries include ship-building, machinery, chemicals, oil refinery, textiles, and food processing. Dalian Port is a deepwater one, and is one of the important foreign trade ports of China. The city is blessed with a beautiful enviroment, favourable location and strong industrial base. Its advantage as a port city has been the most attractive feature for overseas investors. Dalian tries to upgrade its port and build itself into a regional and international shipping center.
