Pines constitute the most unique scene of Mt Huangshan. They grow on cliffs generally over 600m above sea level, and the most characteristic is that they grow out of the cracks and cling to the cliff face with infinite life and vigor. The most well known pines in Mt Huangshan include Greeting Pine and Sea Spying Pine.
Grotesque Rocks
Mt Huangshan is known far and near for “none of its mountains has no peaks that have no crags that have no pines that are not usual. And the grotesque rocks are another one of the four wonders of Mt Huangshan.
Cloud Seas
The seas of cloud are said to be the first wonder of Mt Huangshan, hence the mountain is also reputed as “Yellow Sea”. Clouds as they actually are, they are called “seas”, which is convincing enough how spectacular and grand the scene is.
Hot Spring
An ancient poem has the lines that “Even stood aside Mt Huangshan, the other four sacred mountains would still lack the spirit of a hot spring”. Mt Huangshan hot spring is one of the most spectacular springs in China.
