Hot pepper, already a popular type of spice for Chinese dishes, has only had about 300 years of history with the Chinese. Historical records show that hot peppers came to China by sea form Peru and Mexico during the late Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 A.D.)
Hot peppers are varied from region to region among China for the different climate in individual region. Because that the hot pepper has the function of losing weight, consuming body fat, accelerating body metabolism, people in many palaces of China like to add it into their food. Among China’s Eight Cuisines, Xiang Cuisine and Sichuan Cuisine are famous for their hot tasting.
In China, hot pepper is made into many forms to sell, for instance, dried hot pepper, oil of hot pepper, and powder of hot pepper, and so on. .However, hot pepper can not be eaten too much; to the people not eating hot pepper usually, eating too much hot pepper will cause negative influence to their bodies.
