Qufu is a city with a history of 5,000 years

Located in the southwest of Shandong Province, Qufu is a city with a history of 5,000 years. It was home of Confucius, the founder of the Confucian School, which is the ideological root of all verities of Chinese culture.
Its position in the making of Chinese nationality and culture is never surpassed for 2,000 years. Qufu, admired by all rulers and intellectuals in history, has numerous cultural sites, among which the most famed are the “Three Kongs”, namely Temple and Cemetery of Confucius and the Kong Family Mansion.
Temple of Confucius is a memorial hall for the worship of Confucius; Kong Family Mansion, or Confucian Mansion, east of the temple, is actually the former residence of the eldest sons or grandsons of Confucius family; Cemetery of Confucius is the graveyard of Confucius and his family.
