Unlike other areas of China, love is open among Tibetans. They might fall in love with each other at the first sight and then become couples.
If a man loves a woman, he will try his best to get close to her and take her hat away deliberately, which is a way of expressing love. Several days later, the man will give the hat back to the woman, if she gladly accepts it then it reveals that she loves him as well. Otherwise, it shows that she has no interest in that man.
Weddings are different from area to area in Tibet, and many forms are involved. In general, engagements are simple, whereas weddings are on the contrary. The bridegroom sends the wedding suit to the bride before the wedding day. Then the bride makes up herself in the evening. The relatives of the bridegroom will welcome the bride after midnight. It is noticeable that a Hada is indispensable in the wedding, as it is the symbol of holiness, flourish and blessing.
