| Mt. Longhu |
|
According to Daoist books, Zhangsheng, the fourth grandson of Zhangling, inhabited Mt. Longhu during the Three Kingdoms period or the Western Jin Dynasty. In the middle of the early Ming Dynasty, Daoism on the mountain continued to develop. The forty-third Celestial Master Zhang Yuchu knew very well the skills of the Inner Ilixir and was famous for his knowledge of Confucian scriptures, as well descendant Talisman Registration. After the mid-Ming Dynasty, especially during the Qing Dynasty, the court thought less of Zhang Daoling's descendants, so Daoism on the mountain declined gradually.
As a cradle land of Taoism, the Mt. Longhu has been regarded as a Holy Land to which many pilgrimages are made every year.
