The formation of the water of hot spring undergoes a complex process. Firstly, the rainwater permeates into the Earth's crust deeply, and then mingles with hot magma. After dozens of years’ evolving and infiltrating, eventually it gushes out of the earth, thus forms the hot spring.
With different magma at different areas, there are varied organic compositions in the spring. So there are various hot springs, such as soda hot spring, sulfur hot spring, and silicic acid hot spring, etc.
According to the environment which produces springs, there are two categories of hot spring, namely, volcanic hot spring and non- volcanic hot spring. The volcanic hot spring refers to the spring that formed by rainwater which suffers high heat and high pressure then effuses out the earth’s surface after permeating into the earth shell, with a higher temperature than human body’s. As the non- volcanic hot spring, it includes metamorphic rock hot spring, deep-lever rock hot spring, and sedimentary rock hot spring. After the geophysical exploration, geology analysis and calculation of the depth which might has the spring, the hot spring will be explored out with drillings.
