Chin Na

Chin Na is referred to as the seizing art of kung fu and is known for its value in personal self-defense. Chin Na courses include grappling and pressing techniques designed to ultimately control an opponent. In grasping, twisting, bending and striking, a practitioner takes advantage of an opponent's natural weak points, regardless of that opponents gender, size or experience. The Chin Na self-defense classes at Shao Lin Boxing Methods introduce students to different techniques involving four distinct types of practice: pressure point technique, dividing the muscle, misplacing the bone (joint-locking) and sealing the breath (cavity pressing). Our Chin Na techniques are independent of any style of martial arts and can be learned and practiced by anyone .
You will learn to adapt to the size, strength and even the intent of your aggressor. Successfully "posturing" and "rooting" you will have the advantage. You will overcome your adversary with a minimum amount of force. In most cases you will be able to use your opponent's own energy against him. "A few ounces of force, strategically placed, can control a thousand pounds of aggression."Chin Na uses the concepts of joint locking, muscle separation, sealing the veins and arteries, sealing the breath, cavity press and pressure point technique. As a quick, effective means to escape or incapacitate an attacker, Chin Na cannot be beat.
