Jiaozi or dumpling is a traditional and popular food with a long history in China. There is a popular saying in China: "There is nothing more delicious than Jiaozi." So you could imagine how much Chinese love it. It was made with all kinds of fillings such as mutton, hot pepper and some medicinal materials. Afterwards people began to make dumplings as well. Jiaozi is the food that will no doubt appear on tables during Spring Festivals. Generally, people prepare it before midnight on the last day of the passing lunar year and eat it after the New Year's bell is sounded.
Nowadays,because of jiaozi's popularity,people invented Jiaozi (Dumpling) feast.It is made of the selected fine ingredients, inviting and unconventional in appearance with a great variety of fillings, with delicate tastes and rich in nutrition. It is indeed a mixed combination of good-looking, good smelling and delicate good tastes. Jiaozi feast has 180 varieties. There are several dozens of feasts, such as " Court Dumpling Feast", "Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea", "Dragon and Phoenix Feast" each of which has its own shape and a hundred dumplings have a hundred different tastes.
The most famous resturants supplying this kind of feast are in Xi'an city,which is famous for its Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses. So if you want to have a taste of jiaozi feast, come to China! But don't forget to take your "bon appetit".
