Situated in the middle reaches of Yangtze River, Wuhan is a city famous for its acrobatic art.Wuhan Acrobatic Troupe has long been well-known in the acrobatic circle. And Wuhan Acrobatic Hall,built on the former site of State of Chu, is unmatched in China, where great number of artists have enjoyed world-wide reputation with their successful performances. Rising from the fertile land of Yangtze River and Han River, and inspired by the spirit of Jinchu culture, young acrobatic stars have emerged in large number just like the spring buds. AS a result ,the acrobatic art has made Wuhan more and more attractive.
Wuhan International Acrobatic Art Festival of China (hereinafter referred to as WIAAFC) is deigned for fair competitions among the outstanding acrobatic figures of the world and for providing the performers with opportunities to swap pointers and learn from each other, so as to develop and blaze new trails in the acrobatic art, and to make Wuhan City the bridge enhancing the friendship among the acrobatic artists of all countries. WIAAFC is jointly sponsored by the People's Government of Wuhan City, Bureau for External Culture Relations of Minister of culture of China, Bureau for Artistic of Minister of Culture, China Acrobatic Artists Association, China Performing Agency, China Central TV and External Cultural Exchange Association of Hubei Province, etc. The acrobatic competition of WIAAFC will be held in the form of public performance. The awards are classified as the YELLOW Crane Gold Prize, the YELLOW Crane Silver Prize, the YELLOW Crane Bronze Prize, Fangcao Prizes for Children and the Glorious Prize.
