Budala Palace is the quintessence of the architecture of Tibetan. The main architectures are white and red palaces. The palace wall was made of granites. The palace (Budala Gong) is more than 117 meters in height and 360 in width, occupying a building space of 90 000 square meters including living quarters, temples, funerals stupas and monk dormitories. Potala is composed of White Palace and Red palace. The former is for secular use while the later is for religious. Below is the list of the photos and pictures I took in the Potala Palace. In the 7th century, in order to ease the relationship between Tang count and xiang,the emporor at that time decided to let Wen Cheng Princess marry Song Zan Gan Bu,who is the ruler of tubo tribe.For Song Zan Gan Bu,in order to show his sincerity and greet of Wen Cheng Princess .He decided to establish a good rapport with Tang, then the construction of Budala Palace started.And when Wen Cheng Princess went to xizang,she took many treasure,such as cloth snd china,what’s more ,many advanced techinique were brought together. The evidence was that the Tang count and tubo tribe sustain a good relationship,so it’s said that it’s the contribution of Wen Cheng Princess and Bdala Palace.Nowadays,Budala Palace became a very sacred place where people want to have a good visit if they have time and energy,especially foreigners .
