Opened in 1986, it is the first course in Beijing. It enjoys a convenient traffic and takes only 40 minutes to get to downtown. Viewed from the clubhouse, the famous scenic spot Ming Tombs Reservoir is like a picture unfolding before you. The whole course is at the feet of the surrounding mountains, with the fairways winding among them. Along the fairways of the 18 holes, are high mountains, providing a unique sight to the clubhouse.
Beijing Int'l Golf Club is one of the most populous courses in Beijing, and held the Volvo China Open in three successive years. It was on this course that China’s well-known golfer Cheng Jun won the Championship of the third Volvo China Open, and got a prize of $400000. It was also the venue of the World Masters Tournament Invitation in 1992.
The long fairways of the course are all over 500 yard. The most difficult hole is the 7th one, and is a par 4 with a length of 405 yard. In front of the teeing ground and at the place 70 yard from the green, are winding streaks, and on the left of the fairway, are lines of green trees. Though it is the most difficult hole, the scenery along the fairway is really attractive.
The Beijing International Golf Club, with its challenging 18-hole course offers an exciting round of play for professionals and amateurs alike. It is located 45km from downtown Beijing.
