Shao Lin monks do not drink, but it does not block the main subject. Without drinking Shao Lin monks still have the integrity to help the poor and fight against the evil people. In a word, it promotes the wine culture from another point. In this movie, there are a lot of scenes that when the monks have to kill people, they will drink to show that they did it just because they were drunk.. so the subject is virtue, too. Here the wine acts as a veic.

In this movie, sorghum run through the whole movie. Furthermore, the whole movie。stressed the role of wine, which connected wine with the living environment, person personality and patriotic passion together. It is so touching.
 The heroes and the heroines in this movie are all of common farmers, but their persistent characteristic is overwhelming. But the director’s presentation is not so direct. He borrowed wine for help. In fact, here wine is a kind of presentation, a kind of consciousness and a kind of ecology.

In this play, there many points saying wine. First is that the emperor drank, which demonstrates the diligence and wise. Second point is that the great government official drank, which revealed the official protected himself with wine. The last point is that the prime minister drank with his loved wife, which presented that they loved tenderly. In the whole play, wine revealed different kinds of personality.
