The Lushan Mountain is located in the north of Jiangxi Province. It lies near Jiujiang City and is a famous place of scenes and for people to escape from the heat in China.The Lushan Mountain is a part of Huaiyang Mountain of China. About 80,000,000 years ago, it appeared in the northwest of Poyang Lake because of the moving crust. The Yangtze River lies in its north. The mountain looks like an ellipse with more than 90 peaks. The whole area is about 300 square meters.A lot of ancient literature people had traveled around the mountain and left a great deal of praise. For instance, the great poet Li Bai of Tang Dynasty, had written a poem for the mountain saying about its beautiful peaks and falls.

The mountain is famous of four kind of beautiful scenes: giant peaks, cloud ocean, falls and springs and splendid gardens. There're scenic spots like: Superman Cave, Five Old Men Peak, Dragon Head Cliff, Han Po Kou, Big Heaven Pond, White Deer Cave, Blue Jade Gorge and Yue Yuan Pond. Those are the spots that all visitors won't ignor.The 1471meters high Hanyang Peak is the highest peak of Lushan Mountian. The Guling Mountain is in the center of Lunshan Mountain and a great many people would come to the place from July to September every year. Most visitors will settled at the foot of Guling Mountain and help themselves to spend a few days in the mountain to enjoy the beautiful views. Among the view spots, the Hanyang Peak is the most attractive place.

On the Lushan mountain, the average temperature is 22.6 Celsius thermometers in summer. When people living at the areas of middle and low reaches of Yangtze River would no longer stand up with the terrible heat, they would feel like living in spring on Lushan mountain. So, the mountain is a good place for people to recuperate. More and more convalescent hospitals have been founded these years.These days, the traffic on the mountain is more and more convenient, for roads for people and cars, airports have been built. Some modern facilities have been accomplished on the mountain nearly: the Shen Men Jian Bridge (the longest cross distance in East China), the highest view plat of China - the Guling Plat and the first modern high mountain cable car of China.
