The Great Gobi Desert is a treasure full of astonishing surprises that draws the most avid travellers, explorers and scientists into its open arms and entices them to return again and again. This unique itinerary was developed with locals - people intimate with every corner of the places that we visit on this remarkable journey. Our explorations will take you to some of the most unique and untouched places in this vast wilderness including ancient rock engravings depicting civilizations inhabiting the earth hundreds of thousands of years ago at Bichigt Khad; a desert oasis at Zuun Mod with a profusion of greenery amongst the arid sands; ancient dinosaur relics at Bugiin Tsav; and the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park containing the Valley of Yol, with solid ice formations even in the heat of the Gobi summer and the largest sandunes in Mongolia. In true nomadic style we ride through the desert on camel back with local herdsmen and enjoy the famous hospitality of local nomadic people.
