Best Places to Enjoy Red Leaves in China

Kanas in West China's Xinjiang Province
Kanas is a fairyland in the far less populated west China. The area has a dense coverage of birch trees and plants indigenous to the region. Fall comes as the weather cool down and the stagnant summer air is replenished by a crisp wind, the whole mountain develop brilliant fall colors.

Fragrant Hill in Beijing
Fragrant Hill is at Beijing's west suburb. In late fall, the whole mountain is shrouded in colors. The annual Fragrant Mountain Red Leaves Festival is held here and the event for this year will kick off Oct. 14th.
Miyaluo in Sichuan Province
Miyaluo is a less developed tourist region in southwest China's Sichuan Aba Tibetan and Qiang Prefecture, about 263 kilometers away from Chengdu. From middle Oct, to early Nov. the radiant red, golden, yellow leaves against the snow-capped mountain and clear sky and fluffy clouds set the scenery outstanding.
Daocheng in Sichuan Province
Daocheng at the southwest rim of Sichuan Province is a mystical, pure highland free from modern pollution. The most fall colors appear at the Echu Mountain. Echu is Tibetan language, which means ¡°Brilliant Mountain¡±. The mountain has an elevation of 5140 meters above sea level and is famous for its sheer cliff and majesty. A tour to Daocheng means less crowded, no stress, combined with warm days, cool nights, and great vistas of saturated yellows, reds, and green mixed with lush jungle.
Jiuzhaigou
Crisp air, blue sky, gorgeous autumn foliage set against snow capped peaks; this is Jiuzhaigou in fall, no doubt the best time to visit to this legendary natural paradise.
