Chengdu Xiling Snow Mountain Skiing Resort

Chengdu Xiling Snow-capped Mountain Skiing Resort is presently the largest and best-equipped skiing resort as well as Snow Park in China. It is also a well-equipped large-scale grass-skiing ground as well as a sports and entertainment ground on high mountain grass fields.
95Km away from Chengdu, it is located in national scenic resort, Xiling Snow-capped Mountain, which is famous for its scenic beauty and peasant weather. The traffic is very convenient with high-class cement road connecting Chengdu. It takes only 2 hours by bus from Chengdu to the resort.
Due to its geography and topography, the skiing ground is an ideal place for skiing. Being a tableland between high mountains, it covers an area of approximately 7 square kilometers. The altitude here is between 2200 and 2400 meters (ideal for skiing). The highest temperature here in summer is only 25°C and the lowest in winter is -10°C. The snow season lasts from late November to the end of March the next year. The average depth of snow coverage is more than 60 cm. Due to its sharing the same altitude as well as similar snow quality and snow season with the European Alps, Xiling is renowned as the Oriental Alps.
The skiing Resort is well equipped. With 2000 sets of famous-brand skiing facilities, including 35 ski-doos imported from Canada and Japan, all-terrain skiing vehicles and sliding tubes imported from Europe, the skiing Resort has become the largest snow park in China.
In summer, the skiing resort becomes a large-scale grass skiing ground. The grass field covers an area of 500,000 square meters. 600 sets of imported grass skiing equipment, including grass skiing motors, on-grass cross-country motors, on-grass hover crafts and a 1600-meter-long Toboggan Run, enable the Resort to conduct 15 entertainment programs on high mountain grass fields.
It is fantastic to have a bird's-eye view of Xiling. 2 colorful sightseeing thermal balloons and 10 parachutes hovering around allow you to admire the colorful Xiling sky. The 2500-meter-long gondola cable connecting Riyueping and the Skiing Resort enables you to enjoy the fantastic scenery in high mountains: the cloud sea, the rising sun, the scenery of Yinyang boundary, the golden mountains painted in sunshine and the Buddha Halo.
With its various amusement programs, graceful and beautiful natural scenery and excellent services, the Xiling Snow Mountain Skiing resort has become a national resort for sports, sightseeing, holiday entertainment and summer tour.
There are about 7 trails, and one of them about 2000meters long and 15meters wide with a drop of 200meters.
